Commercial
Although most surveys we do are residential, we also do commercial properties as well. After all, a property is a piece of property no matter if it's residential or commercial. The same boundary surveying principles still apply with surveying commercial properties. However, there is a particular survey that has not been addressed. Below is a description of an ALTA survey which we mainly do on commercial properties, but also residential if it is a multi-family property.

ALTA Title Survey or Boundary Survey
An ALTA (American Land Title Association) survey is completed based on the "Minimum Standard Detail Requirements and Accuracy Standards for ALTA/ASCM Land Title Surveys." This survey is different than a normal boundary survey in that it requires us to go more in detail in our field work locating all the intricate details of the property. The requirements of this survey is to be acceptable to a title insurance company for the purpose of insuring title to the property. Since this survey takes more time and effort the cost of the survey will be more than a usual boundary survey. Nonetheless, we ensure that the survey is done according to the required standard. To review these standards go to the nsps.us.com website, click on ALTA/ASCM Standards, and then click on 2011 Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys. Regardless of the size of the property, we assure you we will give you a reasonable quote.
